Air spreads

Seaforce has the capability to operate five dive teams. Three of these operate from our fully equipped dive trailers to conduct surface supplied (SSBA) diving operations in accordance with AS2299.1:2007. Easily transported to all job locations with one of our vehicles, it is simply a case of opening the door to begin operations. Currently two of our dive trailers are located at our North Fremantle worksite with the third in Karratha available for immediate use throughout the northwest.

Dive Boats

The other two air spreads can be outfitted to either the Cormorant, Rib or Bullshark, our three dive support vessels. Our primary work platform is the Cormorant, a 12m catamaran powered by 2 x 237hp inboard diesels. The Cormorant holds a 2C survey which allows for two crew and eight divers with a 20 nautical mile offshore operating limit. Being of catamaran design, open stern and with a 5m beam, the cormorant is a very stable and highly maneuverable vessel.

The Rib is an 8m ex-navy fast response rib. Powered by a turbo diesel Volvo Penta engine, this stable vessel is capable of reaching speeds upwards of 30kts.

The Bullshark is an 8.5m half cabin aluminum vessel powered by a 200hp outboard motor. We utilize both surface supplied and scuba diving equipment which makes it ideal for fast response work along the coastline.

Equipment

All of the equipment operated by the Seaforce teams is of high quality and maintained to the highest standard. We have multiple umbilical’s ranging from 50m to 150m in length. The latest digital video and photography equipment enable the client to view dive operation in real time with the ability to record all data onto CD/DVD. Our divers are trained and experienced on our extensive range of hydraulic tools as well as all our Non Destructive Testing equipment allowing us to obtain and record accurate thickness readings of steel, aluminium and other metal objects. We utilize High Pressure Water Blasters that are capable of reaching 7000 PSI to clean corroded or fouled surfaces above or below the water. Seaforce are also capable of conducting ROV operations in deep or dangerous waters not suitable for divers to enter.

Geotechnical investigation is undertaken for proposed harbour extensions, pre-dredging investigations and pipeline routes. Seaforce’s specialised geotechnical drilling rigs can be used either underwater or above water. It can be operated from a barge depending on water depth and sea conditions. Our fully submersible drill rigs use wireline drilling techniques – PQ3, HQ3 and NQ3. We also operate an underwater SPT calibrated for underwater use. Some of the complex works completed to date are the Dawesville Cut Stage I & II, Bunbury Inner Harbour extensions, Point Sampson proposed fishing boat wharf and Exmouth Marina.
