Introduction

During our long and beneficial relationships with marine research companies, we have found that many have missed interesting and lucrative opportunities because of limits to their human resource capabilities. The time consuming and often mundane data collection requirements leave little time for the truly scientific research application of data analysis. Seaforce would like to offer an extensive data collection and monitoring service to enable your company personnel the time to apply themselves to the business end of scientific investigation.

New Direction

Seaforce has been in the commercial diving industry for the last 23 years and has been involved with all the differing aspects of the industry. Seaforce now plans to further its horizons by offering a range of services aimed specifically at underwater environmental data collection. Our experienced team of Commercial and Scientific divers will provide a multitude of services such as data collection, observations, monitoring and installations. By offering our wealth of experience in the diving industry, we aim to compliment your environmental projects so the data you receive will be of the highest possible standard.

Environmental Policy

Seaforce is firmly committed to ensuring all work undertaken by our teams is conducted in an environmentally responsible manner. Our team members have qualifications which include BSc in Marine Resource Management and Certificates of Aquaculture. All ensure our commitment to environmental awareness and continued training for all employees.

Seaforce will ensure this by:

Objectives

  • If your company already has its own divers or dive teams Seaforce can provide additional diving infrastructure as well as additional divers and or ADAS qualified dive supervisors. Seaforce can undertake long term monitoring projects including data collection to any scientific or company protocol. Your company could also undertake further environmental diving work by sub-contracting the collect of data, observations, monitoring, installations etc onto Seaforce. Enabling your company the important task of data analysis and scientific research applications.
  • Seaforce can provide any diving task, related to data collection, observations, monitoring, installations, etc, which could expand the environmental scope of your company. Your company could quote for jobs previously not in its current capabilities.
  • Seaforce can provide Scuba and SSBA diving infrastructure and suitable trained personnel to any location if required. We can also dive to depths of 50m which can expand the scope of data your company can collect, monitor, observe, again reallocating manpower to data analysis.
  • Seaforce can undertake any type of environmental data collection, as we have a vast array of equipment to accommodate all underwater problems and situations. We have high quality still and video capturing equipment including the ability to run ROV operations in conditions not suitable for diving. Dive trailers and vessels that can be transported to almost any location with the equipment for any type of dive terrain or depth, including a hyperbaric chamber.
  • Seaforce has the capability to run five dive teams. Three of these can operate from fully equipped dive trailers, while the other two teams can operate from our dive vessels, Cormorant, a 12m catamaran, and Bullshark, an 8.5m fast response vessel. All trailers and boats can conduct SSBA and SCUBA dive operations in accordance with AS2299.1:2007.

Seaforce will sign all confidentiality requirements for the projects undertaken i.e. working as a sub-contractor for your company. All work done and data collected will be in strict confidence and your company will have total ownership of the data.
